Chen Zhang is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MAZX TAX. He and his partner, Tina Shi, founded MAZX TAX in 2019, and under his leadership, the firm has grown into a   leader in tax solutions. MAZX TAX’s mission is to assist individuals and companies to understand Federal or multi-state nuances and offer consulting and advisory for taxes, in order to successfully avoid or limit audit assessments.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Chen successfully helped businesses grant and forgive a total worth of millions of government grants.

Prior to founding MAZX TAX in 2019, Chen was a member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation and a senior consultant of Ernst & Young, where he focused on providing advice to a broad array of banks, finance, assets management, private equity, andinsurance clients. Earlier in his career in 2014, he served in a number of leadership roles in CPA firms.

Chen earned a Master’s Degree with a concentration in accounting from the City University of New York in 2016 and a BA in accounting from CUNY in 2014.
